Everything we Need

Today at lunch, Claire and I were the first ones at the table. Memaw was finishing up getting last minute things ready in the kitchen. Claire and I started talking about how everything was on the table. She said that we had everything we needed. I said, "You're right! But who gives us everything we need?" She answered Jesus. I followed up with, "Jesus is everything we need, isn't He?" She responded, "Thank you Jesus, for giving us everything we need." I looked up at Memaw to see her response and she was just standing there. I saw a look of pride and gratefulness on her face. Claire continued, "Thank you Memaw, for making lunch for us!" A smile broke across both of our faces. What a joy she brings into our lives. This morning in the sermon, Pastor was speaking about the saddest thing about atheism. He was quoting from another source and made the statement that the worst thing about atheists is that when they feel grateful, they have no one to thank. Truly Claire displayed this at lunch. Thank you Lord, for being everything we need and for being there to accept our gratefulness. On another note, Justin has been sick today with the beginnings of a cold. Hopefully he will feel better soon. Claire tonight since we've been home from church as well has had a runny nose. I keep telling her to catch it but unfortunately it still keeps running away.
